Amazing stay for my Birthday 12th October. EVERYTHING about the stay was amzing. From entering the building to the friendly reception staff Debbie and Jordan being led to my room the Glen Debbie stopped and stayed hello to all the staff that was very warming and friendly. Went for Sunday lunch the food was amzing pink beef wow and turkey and ham and not to for get the Apple crumble it was cooked from the heart. Leo the server was so helpful credit to the hotel Cocktails where amzinng. Went to room to relax after dinner then went to the spa out off this world. The breakfast the next morning was beautiful and staff where so nice Lynn runs a tight ship. Stayed and had lunch in the vat beside the fire. Burger onions rings and batterd fish 🐟
My Husband and I have just returned from a 1 night stay. We loved it from beginning to end. We arrived early as my husband had a meeting to go to near by so our dog and I sat and enjoyed a lovely drink in the bar infront of a quaint fire while our room was being prepared. Our room was a good size and had a lovely bathroom. We had a fantastic evening meal in the dining room with lovely etched glass doors that over look the thermal area. We enjoyed the Chatiebriand to share with the most delicious roasted new potatoes , onion rings with bernaise sauce. After dinner we relaxed in the Thermal village which was top notch. The bed was super comfortable. In the morning we had a great workout in the gym and had a terrific breakfast to start our day off right. Every staff member was attentive and knowledgeable. My dog was made to feel like a VIP aswell. I am looking forward to returning and booking some|Spa treatments next time. Thank you.
Such a beautiful hotel full of character and charm. From we first stepped inside the front door the staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was any bother. The spa is really peaceful and relaxing and not overcrowded. After a delicious meal in the restaurant we finished the evening in the bar where there was live music. The bedrooms are amazing each with their own style and name. The gorgeous breakfast just finished off our fabulous stay and I cannot wait to return.
Myself and my husband decided to stay here for our 1 year anniversary and it did not disappoint. The spa is absolutely amazing and not too over crowded, the food was fantastic. The service from all the staff from we checked in to we left was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the room was extremely warm, however there was a fan provided. But overall it was amazing and we will definitely return.
Being natives of Northern Ireland, we have been to this inn on many an occasion, including our son's wedding reception a couple of years ago, and have eaten here a few times. It is pricey for what you get but the staff are usually quite pleasant, if a little young and inexperienced at times. In general, the food has been good but tonight was disappointing. My husband ordered the venison and mushroom pie, which looked amazing on arrival but sadly was full of hot air... literally. It was also very dry, not a drop of liquid inside, which made for difficult eating. In addition, there was not a mushroom in sight. I had ordered my main, beef cheek, with Koffman fries rather than mash but when brought to the table....it was served with mash and had to be returned to the kitchen. When this mistake was rectified, we suspected the original mash was served to my husband, as it was luke warm......even the knob of butter on top couldn't be bothered melting! All in all, a disappointing experience, which is a shame, as usually we have been fairly pleased in the past. Maybe the kitchen was having an off night!|
Just back from a visit, arranged by our family as a birthday present. Seriously over priced. Booked the cottage with a private hot tub, seriously over viewed by other guests . Luckily it wasn't raining on our visit. As the hot tub was lacking any cover.|The reception was welcoming, however failed to advise us what was on offer. Pool area or sauna.|We had just settled in when reception and maintenance arrived as they were concerned about the heating. Please get this sorted before guests arrive. Bar prices almost £8 for pint of Guinness and almost £40 for bottle of wine. Hot tub area was surrounded by artificiall plants. Full view of industrial area, bins trolleys . Have had chateau Briand many times. And this was at lower end of scale. However onion rings and glazed potatoes were exceptional.|Selection at breakfast was at the highest standard.|Unfortunately the poached eggs were seriously underdone. Would I stay here again,|? Unfortunately not.
Stayed recently and cannot fault the staff at this hotel at all. The hotel itself is very clean and well kept. The room also was really nice although I felt the bathroom was very basic and dated. |Unfortunately when it came to bedtime the walls were very thin and we could hear the room next door talking and then loudly snoring all night. |We raised this issue shortly after 1am and again cannot fault the staff member who was able to move us rooms. Again this room was lovely however despite the radiator being turned off, it was absolutely roasting, so unfortunately we had very little sleep. There was an industrial style fan in the room which was very noisy. |Breakfast was table service and I personally didn’t feel the option were great. We had the fry and was a bit surprised there was no beans, so it was rather dry. |We mention the sleep and heat issues at checkout but there wasn’t much of a response to the issue other than that they turned the heating on during the night (despite the room radiator being off) ||A real positive was the spa, despite the weather not being great it was a really nice experience and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. ||Overall a very nice hotel, however just based on our recent stay we probably wouldn’t return.
Amazing hotel and Spa experience. From the moment we checked in till we left we felt so welcome. Fabulous Spa, very comfortable rooms and Dinner was a true experience. Now this place is not cheap but it is definitely worth the money considering the little extra things we got. We definitely would love to come back. Thank you for an amazing stay🤩
