My first time at Food for Friends and I would love to go back soon (but I live in London!). The food was excellent with lots of vegan options, which is what I was looking for, and an exceptional five vegan dessert options, quite rare in my experience of a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. The staff were fabulous, both friendly and professional. The decor and atmosphere both good, and very clean. This is a gem of a restaurant, and I will definitely fo back at some point! I definitely recommend it.

Nothing short of outstanding. The service was swift, friendly and engaging. Then came the absolutely delicious food. I've been a vegetarian for 30 years and I can honestly say, I've been spoilt by this experience, vegetarian food in a pub will never be good enough now! Our starters were so good I forgot to take 'photos. The main and puddings were divine. There were three of us eating, the only thing we didn't agree with was the added gratuity. We would have definitely left a tip, but didn't see it was discretionary, I see the replies about this from the restaurant on other reviews, that it is stated on the menu, but we were too busy choosing food to notice. Other than that, we would most definitely return and highly recommend to anyone, vegetarian or not.

Beautiful environment, attentive and professional staff, great food with vegan options on everything. Everything I had from the small plates menu was delicious but I didn’t give 5 stars because the carrots were slightly gritty. The cocktails are exceptional, they are expensive but they are worth it!

Absolutely delicious food. Had the beetroot salad, miso aubergine, cauliflower wings and vegan pavlova, they were all so good! So much taste packed into each dish. Really lovely waiting staff and we even got a happy anniversary chocolate treat. Food came promptly and they were great with my allergies. Wish I lived in Brighton so I could go all the time!

I absolutely loved the lunch we had here! The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, the food was incredible. We had a range of small plates which included the crispy tofu (incredible) roast potatoes with salsa verde (delicious) and the cauliflower wings which had the fluffiest batter I’ve ever had. I really couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

Service was excellent at Food for Friends today. I'm sure the menu was a little more extensive last time we visited and the menu quoted online was way different to the menu available on the night, but the food was still good. Cocktails and deserts were amazing.

My friend and I stumbled across this restaurant on a girlie weekend away and were planning to just grab a cocktail but on seeing a dish of loveliness appear from the kitchen we decided we might just have to have to indulge in a snack too. On enquiring as to what the dish was, we surprisingly found d ourselves ordering the cauliflower wings and mushroom bruschetta. It was at the point of looking at the menu we realised it was a vegetarian restaurant. Having seen the food coming out we were not put off by this (I add that neither of us can be described as anything remotely close to a vegetarian). We both agreed the two light bites we ordered were out of this world and the service was amazing too, very relaxed and friendly waitress which was really nice. Well worth a stop if you’re in Brighton whether you are vegetarian or not, genuinely do not think you’d be disappointed. Everything was so aesthetically pleasing and tasted as good as it looked!
