I recently dined at Taste of Venezuela in Pool Valley, Brighton, with my mother and friends, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The prices were very reasonable, offering great value for such high-quality dishes. The menu boasts a nice variety of authentic Venezuelan food, drinks, and even cocktails, ensuring there's something for everyone. I particularly recommend the Venezuelan 'Patacon' and any of the arepas – both were exceptional. The service was impeccable, contributing to a truly enjoyable evening. Taste of Venezuela is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic and delicious Venezuelan cuisine in Brighton & Sussex. Five stars for both food and service!

This place needs work. Was half empty, our food took an hour to arrive and arrived at different times, half the serving staff had no idea what they were serving, the toilet door stuck there was no paper, they have zero veggie options beyond cheese, absolutely no vegan options whatsoever. Maybe they were having an off day? There are a million better places to eat in Brighton than this. Edit: in response to the owner's comments. - the arepa dough was uncooked inside - a slab of cold cheese in some cornbread (and *nothing* else) for £9 isn't particularly appealing or value for money - the ropa vieja inside was watery and insipid, there was a total lack of any meaningful garnish that provided any freshness - when asked about veggie/vegan options the servers response was: "uhhh, we can take out the meat/cheese?" - apart from the Hispanic staff, we had a barman and a guy who didn't even know your own menu And what of the hour it took to serve in an empty restaurant? Any half decent food truck will serve better more flavoursome and appetising arepas in a quarter of the time. I hope you succeed but you need to up your game.

Taste of Venezuela is my go-to spot every time I’m in Brighton. The food is amazing, with proper hearty portions, and the family who run it are so welcoming—they make you feel like part of the family. It’s like having a little taste of home right here. I can’t recommend it enough! The parrilla is my absolute favourite—you’ve got to try it. 😃

This precious hidden gem is as authentic as it comes. The food taste delicious, full of flavour, and the portions are generous. I dare to say, here you will find the best Venezuelan food that there is in the UK. The service was brilliant too, although they has only been opened for a few weeks, I can already tell it will be a huge success. Help me spread the word, everyone needs to know about this place. -Love, a Venezuelan missing her home.

Loved their food. I was skeptical about the mix of ingredients in the Patacon dish, but it was delicious. Great flavours. All the dishes were fresh and decent portion sizes. The food came quickly so 5 stars for the service. Also there was £5 off on Uber Eats. I’ll be ordering again.

We went in on the off chance - It's tucked away! We were the only customers on wet Sunday evening. Sevice was great and waiter talked us through his recommendations and the menu choices cocktails are only £5 and strong! A great experience all round. We will be going back!
