Number Nine Restaurant & Bar

I like this bar come Bistro / restaurant. Been a couple of times on past visits to Kl. Has probably the 2nd best beer garden in the town. I remember real ale on past visits but none today. Had a good Guinness with Flatric. I like the TV series "Inside Number 9." A few years back I sat near the open fire opposite my wife. Slowly my perspective changed. The room moved. The rear right hand chair leg had pushed through a knot in the floorboard and thus I was slowly falling into the fire. Luckily I just about avoided a hot head and saved myself by rolling over. Otherwise I would be the local ghost story.

Exceptional food and service. Trio of local beef followed by the cream brulee, washed down with a solid French white. Couldn't have been better. Will definitely return and highly recommended

Located in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale, this small but the nicely spaced table layout, serves up lovely dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. With a warm welcome and friendly service we enjoyed fish and meat dishes. The side of long stemmed broccoli was so nice the way it was cooked. The sides are suitable for two to share. To finish we had the lemon tart and baked Alaska. Nice additional surprise to see decent ale kept in good condition a long with the wine selection.

We had dinner at Number 9 to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and were looked after from the time we arrived until we left. Service was to a high standard and always with a smile - nothing seemed too much even when the restaurant was very busy. The food was outstanding. Restaurant had a lovely friendly atmosphere. It is dog-friendly which makes it feel very homely.

Up there with one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever paid for- this was something really special! The beef was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were so well seasoned, mashed potatoes (belongs in every roast) and super rich gravy! They are very welcoming and super dog friendly too which is a huge bonus! Can’t recommend Number 9 enough!

Walked in on the off chance. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Had the roast sirloin which was lovely. Maybe a few more roast spuds wouldn't go amiss.

Cozy and friendly atmosphere, our waitress was friendly helpful and charming,but best of all the food is spectacular, we had the chicken breast and the trio of beef with a side order of broccoli and black garlic. Oh my goodness broccoli should not taste this amazing! Fantastic, awesome, amazing tasting food 😋 Thank you for an excellent food experience Colleen & Andrew

What a special place, amazing food, relaxing atmosphere and lovely service. Our four legged friend was welcomed every bit as much as we were too. My wife is a vegetarian and finding anywhere these days that isn’t burger or lamb henry is difficult. We couldn’t have found a better restaurant. The tapas was all cooked fresh and full of flavour with so many choices for all. The cocktails were delicious and to finish I had sticky toffee pudding and coffee. Everything we had was made with high end quality ingredients and the coffee just finished it off for me. Fantastic blend and very well priced. We can’t recommend Number Nine enough and suggest you book in advance. A special place ran by people that care and will give you a fantastic dining experience
