Very tasty breakfast and good value. Although the bacon is very overcooked/ tough.

The food could be so much better. After a run and a dog walk, Hubby and I stopped at the cafe for tea/coffee and a bacon butty each. Staff were friendly, but ignored our request to cook the bacon crispy - message not passed on to the kitchen. However, the coffee is good and the tea strong (tea bag left in for me to remove when I was ready, good). A shame really as the food could be so much better.

we got here pretty early in the morning so the carpark wasn't very busy and got a table at the cafe. a good choice of breakfasts were available but I went for the lumberjack, the biggest one. staff were friendly and happily changed the mushrooms for another item. food arrived in good time and nice and hot. bacon was amazing as was the bread. all items were cooked well and we you seem to get a lot for your money. cost was about average but you did get your monies worth. one of the best around the area.

Our experience a few days ago Pinetum is a fantastic place to walk in great countryside - but the cafe was literally terrible when we went last Sunday morning. I had seen that it only gets 3.9 in reviews with some really scathing recent reviews about the food, but we thought we should support it and give it a try . How we wished we hadn't. Whereas having a lovely memory of how great the Pinetum was, we now think about was the poor quality of the food . Such a shame . After our walk we went into the cafe for a lateish breakfast at 10.30am and each ordered Avocado on Toast . The staff delivered it quickly - full marks to them - but the presentation was awful. Two slices of white toast with an extremely thin spread of avocado (just like jam) on the toast . The avo was green and brown (over ripe) and looked as if someone had just dipped a knife into a tub of day old mushed avocado and thinly spread it. That was it! So unappetising! We should have sent it back but we had taken friends there and it was their first time to Bedgebury (probably their last at the cafe) so did not like to complain. Would have been a bit embarrassing. Cannot comment what the lunches are like as we didn't have one and they "may" be better, but certainly we were amazed that senior staff in the kitchen let a plate like ours leave their kitchen. It should not be too difficult to make avocado on toast more appetising. I notice that the current menu on the website 23rd July 2025 says they are serving Winter Warmer Porridge . The menu does not appear to have been updated since the Winter. Perhaps that says it all!

An amazing and beautiful place, super clean and friendly staff. The cafe is very nice and the portions are plenty. Lot to do with the kids there's something for everyone so every time you come back it's a different experience.

The pinetum is perfect, the cafe is awful. £10 for a jacket potato with a small amount of toppings. Nice location next to the lake though.

Used to offer pretty good fresh cooked food. Now the quality has deteriorated dramatically alongside very steep increases in prices. Kids food is really terrible. Think cheapest value Iceland fish fingers and microwaved garlic bread. Coffee is capsules and Starbucks prices. Just do a pack lunch and save . Nice views of lake though

Ordered two sausage baps and when they came they had mold all over them. Be careful when you order to check the food.
