Babul's Darlington

Absolutely loved the dinning experience! Plenty of beautiful artwork, lighting but most importantly the amazing food! The servers were great help and I’ll definitely be coming back!

From the moment you walk through the doors at Babul’s, you know you’re in for something special. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful – stylish, warm, and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable evening. The food, as expected, speaks for itself. Every dish was packed with flavour, cooked to perfection, and presented with real care. It’s clear that a lot of passion and skill goes into the menu, and it shows in every bite. What truly adds to the overall experience, though, is the staff. They are attentive, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest has a great time. Their service elevated the evening, making it feel not just like a meal out, but a real occasion. I can wholeheartedly recommend Babul’s to anyone looking for a standout dining experience in Darlington. A huge well done to the owners and the team for creating such a fantastic place – we had an amazing night and can’t wait to return!

First visit to Babul’s and will definitely be returning when I’m next in Darlington. The food was exceptional - the curries filled with top quality well-cooked meat and flavoured exceptionally well. Amazing cocktails - opting for a Pina Colada which was beautifully presented and perfectly made. Overall a fantastic meal and one of the best Indian meals I’ve had for a very long time

Love love loved this place. Please open one in London! The food was excellent with delicious spice level. Naga tater-tots were FIRE! I really liked the varied and modern menu which had something for everyone. Atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Great place for a fun night. The iPad drinks ordering was novel for the kids. It was a shame they wouldn’t provided a jug of water at the table, only glasses, but this wasn’t a big deal.

Babuls in Darlington is an absolute standout. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, the staff are welcoming, and the food is packed with flavour. Every dish we had was cooked to perfection – fresh, bold, and beautifully presented. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Can’t wait to go back!

Me and my husband went for our anniversary meal yesterday evening. The atmosphere was lovely. Clean restaurant and design. Great playlist of afrobeats, rnb and dance hall etc. All the staff were kind, accommodating and very attentive checking up on us frequently. Everyone was hardworking and genuinley happy to be there which is a testiment to good management, training and hiring the right staff. The original seat was uncomfortable for me (personal reasons), husband was comfy though. They quickly resolved this and moved us to a spacious table with comfier seats. Loved the tablet for ordering drinks. We really appreciated the surprise glass of prosecco. They served complimentary warm poppadoms and tray while we waited for our starters. We had vegetable samosa and kebab for starters. They came fresh, hot and a good portion. It was nice but personaly needed more seasoning/flavour and a different dipping sauce than the mint yoghurt (i think). Everything came within a reasonable time frame. We ordered lamb bhuna, cocunut rice and keema naan. Absolutely delicious! Generous portions. Ingredients were fresh and seasoning was perfect. Lots of lamb in the bhuna. Everything was served quite hot. We didnt have space for desert! Thank you so much everyone who made our first night special!

We had such a great time at Bubbles! From the start, the communication with the restaurant was spot on – really helpful when organising a big group. When we arrived, everything ran smoothly. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere perfect. It all came together to make the night really enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!

Large party Everything came out timely and hot Portions were perfect Affordable Our servers and staff very attentive but not overly The table pads were a bit of a fiddle and can imagine if my mum had gone she would have had a difficult time but it was best of both worlds - attentive staff and tablet to remotely order if you wanted Toilets, lovely but downstairs, I didnt notice if there was more accessible ones. They were clean with individual cubicles with sinks and dryers. There was a little section here (near toilets) which had seating with large mirror, good lighting, hairdryers and GHDs. Will be back soon! Maybe I will remember photos the next time!
