The Garden Cafe

Stopped by for brunch. I went for the smashed avocado and my husband had something similar from the breakfast menu, with both being delicious, plus we shared a slice of the Halloween themed tiffin cake. There was a special offer of Halloween hot chocolate and a cookie, which both kids went for, plus they demolished their pancakes and brioche with fried egg respectively. We all enjoyed our meals and the setting is really relaxing with a good vibe. Good vegetarian options and choices for children.

I'm a regular at this place. About every week I go there for dinner, usually lasagne or honey chilli goujons, I usually take advantage of the Centre's Wi-Fi and pass the afternoon there. Great atmosphere here and the garden is especially lovely in the summer.

This place has truly gone to the dogs! Service is abysmal. Poor attitude from the staff who just don't care. Food is cheap and nasty - no one wants to order sourdough to be met with 2 slices of Gallaghers pan sourdough at 20 times the price if you bought it in the store. Just terrible. I won't be returning.

The venue is excellent but the food, staff and cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. There were four of us and we had tour different meals. The chicken curry was OK as was the fish with chips. However the chicken burger was very poor, dried up and the burger bun toasted to a crisp. I opted for the daily special (Turkey, ham and stuffing wit veg and potatoes). Unfortunately at 1.15pm there wasn't any vegetables left, so that was of the menu. I chose a toasted sandwich, the bread was either stale or overcooked, as no matter how I tried the crusts were inedible. Also the glass was given for my soft drink was filthy as was the knife my wife was given. It's a pity as the centre itself is beautiful but I will definitely avoid the cafe.

Lovely local cafe i hadnt tried until recently. Lovely food and great setting. Great looking gardens. Have been back a few more times and always great service. Will be back more often

Busy spot but turned over tables quite quickly so no waiting time. Had Open Prawn Salad, great value for money, very substantial meal. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back.

Meals were slow for not a busy kitchen with a good ten minute’s between both diners dishes, chips were missed and then were undercooked. Somehow the same dishes got sent to the table again. Table next to us: food was very late, one item not in stock was told too late
