Todays visit was our 2nd. Lovely pub, lady behind the bar was excellent, nothing was to much trouble. She sorted out a water bowl, and brought over a treat barrel for our Dog. Beer was spot on. When next in Durham will defo go back. My husband would probably mark pricing at 4/5, but that's because he's a Yorkshireman.

Nice enough pub although we climbed a bit of a steep hilled street to get to it. The pub was good though, spacious, plenty of seating and friendly enough staff. It was quiet when we arrived but looked well looked after, good outside seating area at the back and also had decent sized TV inside.

This is a very good pub indeed with a good selection of real ales on cask, all on top form, great atmosphere and very helpful staff. I didn't eat here so can't rate the food but the pub is well worth a visit.

Came Monday and Tuesday night for the music sessions, we were met with a warm welcome from punters and staff alike. Lots of nice people in there, good beer and good music. Will visit again!
