This is a really provincial shop with untrained staff with a "computer says no" mentality. I tried to use a Burton's Biscuits £1 off Jammie Dodgers coupon yesterday, having spent £1.30 on Jammie Dodgers. the young chap on the till scanned it then uninterestedly stated the conditions were not met. He clearly expected me to just accept this and when asked which conditions (see picture of coupon attached) he couldn't tell me so called over a supervisor. She couldn't do anything and suggested maybe it wasn't a coupon for Tesco. Really?! A manufacturer's coupon, with clear instructions for the retailer, isn't valid for use in the largest supermarket chain in the UK?! She told us we would need to go to customer service. For £1!!! It was not worth the hassle so we didn't buy the Biscuits. Every other store I've been to where there have been issues like this a supervisor has been able to resolve them, especially for such a tiny amount. My partner also experienced this mentality and had to waste time going to customer service for something a supervisor should have been able to do. They have lost 2 newly local customers who will now only use this store when desperate.

Was in the store 6pm Saturday night only card machine working and two checkouts which were about 4 people in each on asking the assistant can I go to the kiosk to be served he said yes on walking up a very angry and rude young girl shouted you can’t bring that here! She just served a man with a case of beer so why not? Still shouting I’m not serving you here I had to go and wait at the checkout! The assistant approached me saying sorry he thought I could get served there! Total and utter nonsense the staff think they can talk to people like that!

Used to be a great store, but no longer has a delicatessen or butchers or fishmonger or bakers...... Having said that it still has a great range of stock
