El Santo Bar and Restaurant

We attended the All-You-Can-Eat Brazilian BBQ which was really good. There are plenty of side dishes which they top up the through your visit if you need them. Chips, garlic bread, black bean stew & rice and dips among other things to get you going. But the meat comes round thick and fast and it’s all delightful…except the pork sausages. I wasn’t really a fan of those. Loved everything else though (Rump with Garlic and the Ribs being top of the list!) The service was fantastic (particularly from the dark haired girl with the nose-ring) but all staff were efficient and polite throughout. The place itself is really stylish and modern and has a touch of class about it. The toilets look great too for those of you interested in that sort of thing. There are cocktails aplenty! Would recommend for any sort of celebratory dinner or work do. The kids ate free on Sunday and whilst they were easily enough accommodated for there’s no set children’s menu so keep that in mind. Looking forward to a second visit soon!!

I went to El Santo with a friend and it was honestly the best dining experience I’ve had in Glasgow. Our waiter Wesley was amazing, so knowledgeable, warm, and attentive. The manager Sam and bartender Arthur also made us feel so well looked after. I tried ceviche for the first time (octopus, whitefish, and prawn in lime juice with red onion) and it was absolutely delicious, octopus is a must try! The habanero margarita, passionfruit margarita, and smooth tequilas were out of this world. The atmosphere is authentic, vibrant, and beautifully set. This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Glasgow, I’ll definitely be back!

The pan con queso and beef croquettes were amazing. I also really enjoyed the cauliflower gratin. First time I've had ceviche in Scotland, I don't usually like raw fish or sushi but I'd tried it a couple of times in Spain & thought I'd give it a go here. It was very fresh & flavourful. We're going to come back for their Brazilian meaty Sunday when we're next in town. The restaurant is very nice inside & well thought out.

El Santo was a very nice restaurant to visit with so much variety on the menu. The Guacamole was made fresh at the table which was pleasant and tasted excellent. The Steak was really nice and cooked well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for decent Mexican Cuisine and cocktails that you won't really find anywhere else in the city.

I visited the restaurant for my sisters birthday and it was a hit. The staff was attentive, really warm and welcoming The food was a 10, half my group are fom South America and they all agree that it captures well the essence of Latin cuisine. The Peruvian rice, the ceviche and the patacones were really good. I loved the atmosphere, the dancers a good fun touch and the music created a good vibe, I even took notes of a few songs haha. The only downside, if the music is on and the restaurant is full it can get really hard to talk even with the people in your own table, it can get too loud. I'll definitely be coming back!!! Ps: Most of the menu is Gluten Free! That was also a hit for one of my girls. Even for me that I don't have any dietary requirements.

This place is simply amazing! Atmoshpere 100%. Drinks choice 100%. Now we get to service and food! That is on another level. We were explained the whole menu by Wesley, I believe the manager took really good care of us. His professionalism and passion for every dish made me hungry itself. Once we chose dishes, they started to slowly to pour in, letting us enjoy every and one. Guacomole made in front of us by him was surreal. And it was tasty! Another dish was served with fog of surprise (dry ice), very eye catchy and belly satisfying. Main dish... Picanha... medium rare... never had better medium rare in my life! Cheff Juliana is great! (She actually came to see us after we were happy with her dishes, I, myself felt privileged to talk to main cheff). Tacos and side corn on cob were also different to what you think is standard "Tacos" & "Corn on cob". Well worth the money you leave behind. I can only recommend. For me; I will go there every time I visit Glasgow!!!

I had an amazing experience at El Santo in Glasgow. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was lively, stylish, and full of energy. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The cocktails were just as impressive, creative and perfectly mixed. What really stood out was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made the whole evening even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend El Santo to anyone looking for great food, fantastic drinks, and a vibrant night out in Glasgow. Can’t wait to go back!

Gifted a margarita’s and taco day and Arthur the bar manager was simply outstanding ! Food was amazing but the real gift was Arthur’s knowledge. Thanks for a great day
