White Hart

I hired the Stable at the White Hart for a party. The staff went over and beyond for us. They made sure we had everything we needed and look after us beautifully. Kaycee and Harry helped beforehand and on the night. Luca and Alex on the night too. They were all wonderful and I cannot thank them enough. We had the best time! Thank you

Popped in here after a long day on the road, guy behind the bar was great. The food is a good price and absolutely delicious. There’s a good range of drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). It was quite quiet when I went but having been once before I think it can get busy so might be worth phoning in advance. Definitely a good stop off if you’re in the area.

Great service and atmosphere. Ultimate burger and BBQ cauliflower 10/10. Pudding amazing (choc dome + caramel tart). Mash not so good and special pie slightly underwhelming. But overall a great experience and we would definitely return.

The pub is a stunning building in a gorgeous location. The staff were good, not super friendly or welcoming but polite and efficient. The food was very tasty, it did take a while to come and could have been hotter but not enough to stop us from coming back. The pudding never arrived so in the end we gave up waiting and got it taken off the bill. Our dog was very delighted with her snack bar!

On paper it looks like a great place but service is +1hour for starters to arrive and another 45 mins for mains. The food quality is poor, my chicken pie was dried up and seemed like it had been re-cooked twice. Waitress that took the food order was indifferent and unconcerned about customers meanwhile Elvis impersonator belted out his stuff flooding the restaurant with his renderings. We will not be returning.

Came unexpectedly at midday after a dog walk. Although toast was not on the menu, they toasted some bread and had cherry tomatoes with it. The flat white was excellent. Thank you for operating ‘out the box’! Need more places like this .

A dark and dingy pub with food to match. Four of us went here for lunch today. The pub was empty but we had a very pushy waitress who was keen to get our order in. Once it was placed we waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The portions were tiny and sad looking. The steak was over cooked as was the burger. The greenery was dead and when I spoke to the manager he said it was ok as it wasn’t designed to be eaten. He said the chef was new and refunded us £8 and brought 2 new salads that were a bit fresher, but they arrived after we’d finished eating. Very embarrassing as friends had travelled from London and the whole experience was terrible.

A big thank you to K C and her team at the White Hart. They made our evening very special, providing excellent service, superb food at a good price and then being very patient when we were sorting out the bill at the end. Very professional and highly recommend for a large group gathering, as able to cater for every dietary need. Thank you.
