A large group of us came and we were all disappointed. We went in July just after it reopened with a new menu. Even though we booked the table in advance they didn't ask for pre orders, which might have helped them as they obviously couldn't cope with the large group. Staff didn't seem to want to engage with the customers and service was slow. One of the group didn't even eat as all the vegan food they used to do has been removed from the new menu. The chef was rude when asked if he could make something saying he didn't want to cook vegan. The food came out at all different times. 2 meals were forgotten about and everyone else had finished by the time they arrived. They did offer a complimentary drink for this. My scampi was overcooked, the batter on the fish was very thick and the majority of meals were below average. Wouldn't return again in either a big or small group.

We booked a table, a group of 6 of us on a Friday evening, it’s wasn’t packed but many tables taken. We ordered through the website using the QR code, two ordered at the bar. I don’t like ice in my drinks and there was no option on the site to say no ice annoyingly. We all ordered separately but food came out around the same time. I ordered the chicken tikka, it was lovely and a big portion, the mango chutney was lovely but it’s not necessary to have so much, although I realised after it didn’t come with the poppadom as stated on the menu. One friend order the steak, it was cooked perfectly and was huge. Another fish and chips, again huge. Another ordered a pie, I got a tad food envy for that! For dessert I ordered churros, they were delicious. Atmosphere was lovely, the decor was beautiful with a few subtle finds of the local area such as the cow in the moon which we enjoyed finding. When we arrived there was a dog there, so appears to be dog friendly. Plenty of parking and outside area is large with a children’s playground. Staff were friendly and helpful. A TV screen with the cricket on, not quite our vibe but it was there. Toilets were clean.

Told that no fish available as no fish fryer. Ordered Sunday lunch, my pork was 1 round slice as round as a tuna tin but very thin with stuffing inside, I did mention this and was laughed at and paid £16!! Mash was not fresh, gravy very watery, they didn’t bring my apple sauce. Ordered cauliflower cheese at an extra £3.50 only to be charged £4.50. Not able to order pudding due to no custard!! Only oat custard? As ran out. How? No customers in the room! Never seen it so empty but can understand why. Overpriced and worse meal I’ve had. Wasn’t hot either. Never again. Had better at Wetherspoons and that’s saying something!

Nice little country pub with two bars and a dog friendly seating area. Delicious, freshly cooked food, and a good selection of beers at the bar. Service is quite slow, however, as seems to be a lack of staff.

I visited with my brother on a Sunday (10/04/22) and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff who sat us down as soon as we walked in and gave us time to choose drinks. When drinks were chosen we decided upon a starter and a main. As you can see from the photos the starters were amazing quality and tasted incredible this was made better by the presentation. The main meals were also great (see photos) I went with a pie and as you can see it was quite large and was filled to the brim with beef and gravy this was served with mash and veg all amazing. The brother had a chicken burger and said it tasted really good. Update 21/08/22 went in for a roast dinner and it was great (see photo) As for drinks they have a wide selection of beer, ale, cocktails, cider, wine etc prices being quite reasonable. There was also a large beer garden with lots of tables and even a small play area for the kids. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo but trust me it's nice in the sun! 26/03/22 visited again the menu appears to have been updated. Staff now come to tables to take orders and bring drinks. We had the Korean chicken burger (Not too sure what was Korean about it) which was tasty. Dessert was also good we had a cheesecake and a chocolate brownie. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. Will definitely visit again!

Been here for a couple of lunches on a Sunday. Staff are really friendly and accommodating, food has been good both times. My only con would be it was quite cold as the radiator next to us wasn't working. Though the place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Will come back here again to try the outdoor seating in summer as it looks like a good set up for warmer weather outside!

I have never been more disappointed in a meal before. Firstly the menu I read online isn’t the same menu we was given and I didn’t think there was a great choice either. I ordered the Sirloin Steak and asked for it Medium/Well done it came not ousing blood but certainly not how I asked for it or even like it.Unfortunately it was mainly just fat and grizzle and I could be mistaken but I’m pretty sure it said with peas which I didn’t get I got cherry tomatoes on stalks I don’t even like tomatoes and there was no sauce that was supposed to come with it either it also said with onion rings well I got one and a half and a hand full of chips. My wife ordered the Gammon well she said it wasn’t the best more like a pre packed piece you buy from the supermarket her plate was swimming in grease she didn’t get any peas either and got them cherry tomatoes which she doesn’t like and two onion rings. In all for the price per meal I would have expected more quality and more quantity. Needless to say we won’t be going back to eat there.
