The Bombay Cottage

Absolutely brilliant place. Went for father's day lunch. Service and food were fantastic! As soon as we sat down drink orders were taken and no delay in taking food orders. Food was a good length of time and quality was brilliant. Portions are large and great value for money, had a father's day 3 course special menu on. Would 100% recommend the Bombay Cottage.

If you want good food in a rush (or be rushed out) then this is the place to go. Only reason for atmosphere stars was the reason we were being pushed out the door instead of being made to feel welcome. I do not blame the servers for this, i blame the owners/managers.

I had an unreal curry here. I have never seen a naan so big! The staff here are very friendly and take great pride in what they do here. The feel around the place is great, a lovely place to enjoy a curry.

The menu didn't have a large choice of food, but adequate. The taste was authentic and the servings were more than sufficent. Although I arrived at a busy time, the food was brought out in good time. The waiters were friendly and eager to make suggestions. The chef came out to talk to each of his guests.

One word! Amazing! Firstly the portion size is massive. Curry’s and rice in the same size cartons, and the biggest Nan bread I have ever seen!! The South Indian chilli chicken was tasty, not as spicy as I expected but enjoyable. Husband had the Chardonnay Chesni lamb. Wow! Exactly like the description, flavoursome and full of tikka lamb. The tomato and coriander rice was beautiful and so tasty. Cannot wait to try some more dishes next time.

A kind 2 star, service terrible, firstly 2 pakora sauce dishes on top of each other, drips of sauce smears on table due it dripping, Sent one back as it had been sitting in it, they were OK about it, starters pretty good reasonable portion sizes. Table cleared asked if we wanted the rest of spiced onions and sauce said no thanks, about 30 minutes later girl you served drinks looked at table to see if we had food, went back spoke to someone he came back asked if we wanted the spiced onions and sauce taken away, said no he then went back spoke to a lady, she then came asked if we wanted the spiced onions and sauce taken away, I replied for the third time no, she apologised, mains were pretty good, table cleared again a long wait for desserts, they were OK but we left over after 2 hours and 10 minutes, food good service terrible, would I go back no. TIP if parking across the road 2 hours is not enough, I did take pictures of nice food but have ran out of time.
