Harper's Steakhouse & Bar Haslemere

Spent a week with family at this beautiful hotel. Fantastic rooms (14 and 17), very clean and fully equipped. Breakfast had plenty of choices. Dinner was also delicious! And above all, the staff were very friendly and helpful! Absolutely fantastic! Good luck with everything and thanks again, but this time from the Netherlands!

Very impressed with Harpers. We'd bounced from pub to pub in Haslemere hunting a menu that was a little varied, quality and, not too expensive. It's a well presented restaurant/hotel/pub and the interior looks 'above market' but, the (I assume) landlord was a genuine, down to earth guy. The menu was a little more expensive that we'd usually pay but, the quality surpassed the price. This place clearly doesn't just throw something in the microwave, there has to be a chef and, he or she definitely knows how to cook. I'm usually reluctant to order fish and chips in a pub as, I might as well go to to the chippy... my opinion has now changed. Best fish and chips I've had. (Cornich Orchard battered haddock wow!) They do offer a blue light card discount, but I didn't have mine with me. I paid £60 for 2 meals and onion rings, plus drinks, very tempted to follow it with profiteroles but, I had no more room in me. Will certainly be returning to try more of the menu.

Staff welcomed me on arrival, very friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was always lovely and attentive staff. No problem too big. Right opposite the train station so very helpful for commuting. Lovely place with very friendly staff. I stayed for 5 nights and would highly recommend.

Stayed here for business for one night. The room was very well appointed if small, but very comfortable. It was fine for a business stay but I suspect would be even better if you were staying for leisure. Would be a good place to stay if you were planning a trip into London as it is opposite the station and even has a screen showing train times in the bar. Had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. The highlight is the staff though who just could not be more friendly and welcoming. They showed you to your room, were polite and very chatty. Some may not like that but I could not rate them highly enough. All in all a very pleasant stay.

A great place to stay, very convenient for rail and road. Our room was lovely - and thank you for the fresh milk in the mini fridge, that was a great touch. The staff are all very friendly and helpful too.

You could need The food was out of Thai work the Fillet Steak just melted in your mouth Cocktails great flavour and value Breakfast very relaxed and great options Lovely bar terrace to relax in the sun Dog friendly too so will come again and bring my dogs too

A great night's stay. A good sized double room, nicely decorated with AC. Very good range of teas in room that also has a fridge. The breakfast is also good value with a good range of cooked options, cereal. Etc. Obviously brilliant location for station but also close to town centre.

We were really impressed with our stay at Harpers Steakhouse in Haslemere. Looking for a reasonably priced hotel for a one-night stay, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The room was comfortable, air-conditioned (a real plus on a rare hot evening), with a good bed, quality sheets, and complimentary water, a small touch I always appreciate.||Dinner was great. I hadn’t had BBQ ribs in years and thoroughly enjoyed them. The whole meal was very good. Staff throughout were excellent, but special mention goes to Anya, who stood out for her cheerful, chatty, and genuinely helpful approach from check-in right through dinner service.||If we’re staying in the area again, we’ll definitely return.
