Got a fish butty for lunch after waiting for 10 mins as it was quite busy ! Fish was decent and quite big but fish was greasy and stuck to the wrapping paper but all in all it was OK. Went back on 6/8/25 and ordered fish and Chips with a fish ! Chips great fish was awful.. really dry with brown bits and once again batter stuck to paper !

Rude, snotty manager. Went in for 1 x small fish. It was cooked and sat in the warmer for TWENTY minutes whilst she waited for more chips to be cooked to give the customer who ordered before me. Haha! She could have simply wrapped the one small fish and passed it to me but purposely made me wait. No sense of time or customer management whatsoever. Once I realised that it was my fish that had been sat there all along and challenged her, she said she "follows the queue." Make it make sense. Come on. It was sat there TWENTY minutes. It takes 30 seconds to wrap it. **Edit in response to the owner reply: Nonsense. It's not about being served before someone. It's about queue management. My single small fish was ready and sat there for TWENTY MINUTES!!!! If I was waiting for a large order and someone's single small fish was sat there, I'd be happy for them to be served it!!!! Here's a suggestion, why don't you say to the 1st customer "Do you mind if I give this person their fish whilst we're waiting for your chips, as it's ready and sat there waiting for her" and they will say "no, not at all". Simple customer service management. No excuse for bad management.

Absolutely in love with the fish and chips from here. The quality of the fish is lovely. Nice and light not too greesy. The service is always top notch, very quick and polite. Best fisheries in meltham! Thank you meltham fisheries for your continued excellent food and service.

Went in for just a large portion of chips. Noticed they do pie and chips for £4.70, asked if I could swap to a pie and chips (before I'd even paid mind you) was told no. How ridiculous. The pie and chips cost more as well. Should've walked out and bought nothing
