MEXICALI TEX-MEX SMOKEHOUSE

Quality all round. We travelled 15 mile, as the reviews were very good, and we were not disappointed. Great food/drinks, great service and a good atmosphere. The menu is varied and the portions sizes were good, apart from the cookie dough, however this did not affect my scores. Highly recommend and we will return.

A fantastic Mexican and smokehouse restaurant. Great food and drinks menu (cocktails are 2 for 1 before 7pm) 😁. Well worth a visit it's always lively if there's a gig on at the Picture Dome and has a good atmosphere. The staff are very friendly too 😀 👍🏻

Absolutely amazing food with a great selection of Vegan options available 😍 Very welcoming on arrival. We had the large No Chicken Nachos and shared it......thankfully we did share as the portion was HUGE. I had the Vegan smashed burger with wedges, that too was gorgeous 😋 Highly recommended and will definitely visit next time we're in the area

Really lovely restaurant, really friendly staff and greatvatmosphere; highly recommend this place! As a group we had a couple of plates of nachos to share, then individually the stack burger, mac and brisket burritos, and I had the halloumi tacos. We all struggled to finish because we were so full! Definitely come on an empty stomach!

Whether you're visiting for a casual meal, a celebration, or even their popular bottomless brunch, Mexicali is a fantastic choice. It's a little gem in Holmfirth that brings a bit of Mexican sunshine to Yorkshire. Highly recommended!

Everything was incredible! We got the sharing platter and absolutely couldn’t finish it. One of the best meals we’ve ever had, everything was hot, fresh and meat was tender and juicy. The churro milkshake was so good with a warm churro on top! Really nice atmosphere and staff were awesome! cant wait to come back!

Love this place!! One of my favourite Mexican restaurants ever!! Staff are super friendly and effective. They are a credit to that place!! Margaritas were some of the best I've had!! Food was delicious!!! We will be back again soon!! You must try the Frickles!!!

Four of us dined at Mexicali Tex-Mex on Saturday 27/10/25 . Our first impressions were wow, loved the decor. We were greeted warmly with a friendly smile. We were surprised to see it wasn't very busy. The service was slow. We had to ask if we could order drinks. We were ready for another drink before our food order was eventually taken. We then had an even longer wait for our food to arrive. The staff did apologise for the delay a few times saying they were experiencing problems in the kitchen. Was the wait worth it? I'm afraid not. My Shrimp Heaven looked like what you would see on an Iceland advertisement on tv. Some kind of non descript breaded lollypops on top of soggy chips. The rest of the party described their dishes as ok if you were starving, which they were by the time they got them. The cocktails got a big thumbs up and were described as delicious! Maybe we landed on a night when there was problems. Even so I definitely wouldn't recommend the Shrimp Heaven.
