Always a great place to grab some drinks when the weather is warm with an outstanding view from the beer garden. Equally in the winter it’s warm and cozy to spend time indoors. Always having food events and weekly popular quiz nights, the Travellers Rest is a quality pub

Just arrived home today after a short break away. Fabulous location. Immaculate trendy pub - great atmosphere. Relaxing space to read etc after the weekend rush - super beer garden. No food - ( only street food days) - but this amiable place gives community space in abundance. We stayed in Deer View 1 bed apartment- splendid views - immaculately presented!! Compact - but everything you need for 2 people and a fur baby!! ( Weather - another story). Our only down side - very few eating places after the weekend. We should have checked - the Bulls Head offered a reasonable priced menu - with mid week offers - we enjoyed our meal. It seems most restaurants close until Wednesday/Thursday and we needed dog friendly . 2 breakfasts at the Wrinkled Stocking T room ( Nora Batty - Compo ). Again extremely friendly staff and quality food all day. Sadly the weather spoilt our walking plans!! In our 70's - really don't need ' walking in the rain ' .🫠 . Highly recommend this location and our accommodation was superb 👏 👌 Thank you Ian & Janet x

Very nice spot for a drink. Came recommended. Lots and lots of outside seating with views across the fields and valley. Naturally gets busy in good weather especially. Good selection of real ale. Best nominate a driver if you fancy a few as the walk up to it can feel a long one! Would have been 5 stars and stayed longer if food was offered for sure.

Went with some friends for the pop up Greece food event, fantastic food (which even had a vegan option, very impressed). Lovely place with great views and friendly staff. Plenty of seating outside if the weather is good with nice views of the countryside. The pop up food events are a great idea and even if the weather is poor it's lovely sitting inside with a warm atmosphere and lovely cheerful staff. Everything was clean and cosy, perfect place for a stop off on a walk.

Large amount of beers available at decent prices, good atmosphere plenty of seating, especially outside in the summer, and during summer holidays they have visiting food retailers worth a visit if you are in the area

didn’t try the food. the pub looks nice inside, but floors are dirty. staff (specifically the blonde with the fringe) was not so welcoming which wasn’t a nice experience, and kept giving us dirty looks. along with them playing the most depressing songs knows to man. didn’t really rate this pub, bad environment. pretty sure they were also laughing at us upon us leaving. i would give 0 stars if i could lol, bad vibes. maybe don’t give customers dirty looks when they walk in for no reason idk. a smile goes a long way (: -just a tip!

A friend's Brother-in-law's funeral. Pie and peas supplied by local butcher for the event. And cake. A lovely spot, Yorkshire.
