Lovely food which came out in good time with fair gaps between courses. Young waitresses who were very keen to make sure everything was ok. It was a bit quiet inside but granted it was a sunny day so judging by the busy car park most people had opted to dine or drink outside. We had a variety of meals and they were all of a good standard. Our guests ranged from 16 to 72 years old and all palettes were catered for with the fair priced menu. I’m not sure where previous reviewers dined but the quality was very good in our opinions. Lots of lovely big tables inside so this would be a good venue for large gatherings.

Just Sunday dinner absolutely gorgeous and a good size portion But be aware the cauliflower cheese you see in the photo is a normal size portion side dish So ask for a small portion especially if you are on ya own

DEAD FLIES IN FOOD! Been many a time and never been completely satisfied however my latest visit was beyond disappointing. In my opinion the whole place needs restaffing with people with professionalism, good customer service and kitchen staff which obey basic hygiene regulations. It wasn’t until after ordering food we found out the only piece of cutlery available were spoons. The only condiments available were salad cream, brown sauce, Tatar sauce and pepper. After requesting if there were anything else we were told they’re all kept there. We later returned to the bar to request again as having had the chips multiple times previously, they need condiments. We were eventually given a bottle of vinegar and pot of salt (rather than sachets) which we were glad for. The food eventually came and the salad in the sandwich was riddled with dead flies. A refund for the food was given which was appreciated, however, had it have been my establishment, I would have offered some form of incentive to return, whether in form of a free drink or meal. Safe to say we won’t be returning after every time we have been, there’s something negative I could say about the experience and/or staff. Unfortunate as the location is lovely.

Bar staff and atmosphere is great, but the food lets it down completely. Over 1 hour wait on 2 occasions I’ve been, the only 2 occasions. Food was served like they weren’t bothered, seasoning all over when it’s supposed to be mixed in, have to ask for things that are meant to come with the meal. Early bird menu is a bit of a scam as the portion is smaller so the deal is just that you get less food. Need to re look at their standards in the kitchen and I could easily have given it 0 stars for the food. I’ve seen better in Cooking class at school which isn’t an exaggeration.

Ordered gammon, lightly done came well done, well I’ve had thicker bacon! Very dry and tough, no check back on food, went to pay no check back again just took the money. Hard fried eggs, ordered onion rings asked if he had ordered them twice and they were forgotten when the food came. Won’t be back for food. Used to eat here all the time but not anymore.

Really nice ,well established pub . We arrived in a rainstorm and the local characters were all friendly and pleasant. We didn't go to eat, so I won't comment but we will certainly go back to eat. Looking forward to it..
