Dé Buddha Authentic Nepalese Restaurant & Bar

One of the best restaurants we have visited. You can understand why De Buddha is award winning from their beautiful food, warm hospitality and lovely surroundings. We arrived during the lunch menu being available. Plenty of choice from each courses and fantastic value for the price (£17.95 for 3). I opted for the Sha Phaley for starter and the Khatmandhu Chicken for mains as I wanted to try something different. Both were amazing. Sticky Toffee for dessert was also one of the best I've tried. They also have a great drinks menu and we tried out their detailed cocktails range which were really awesome. Rabi, the owner and chef took time out to give us a tour and explain some of the decor, all authentically brought over from Nepal. We also got to see the garden out the back where they grow all of their own crops. We will be back soon (once we get a babysitter again). Can't recommend highly enough.

The most Authentic Nepali restaurant I have ever visited. Stepping inside the restaurant felt like being inside a traditional Nepali place with every art piece finely selected and curated from Nepal. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful especially the manager. The selection of food was great and all the dishes are made from scratch with no pre-made or ready made bases. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try authentic Nepali cuisine in Glasgow and experience a part of Nepal in UK.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food was delicious, the staff are all very kind and helpful and it was exceptional service and presentation even considering it was a busy friday night. The staff welcomed us with a small canapé and welcome drink and everything was fantastic

This was our first visit and we had a lovely time, great atmosphere, lovely food, yummy cocktails.The chilli chicken Mo Mo was absolutely delicious, would 100% recommend. Great service and very lovely friendly staff. Anni was especially lovely. We will definitely back.

What a beautiful place! The experience starts with entering the restaurant and stepping into a mini Nepal. Amazing decoration, the chairs are so beautiful that I could not take my eyes off them (apparently they are from Nepal). The place radiates tranquility. All the people working there are so lovely. They love talking about their food, culture and ingredients. You can choose from traditional food and they also have a more standard menu for those who are less willing to experiment. I do not curry at all but this time I let them convince me to try their chicken curry. And my it was delicious! Much milder than Indian curry, spices are different and I loved it. The yoghurt drink I had was lovely too, husband tried the rice wine. They grow quite a bit of their spices and veg in their own garden at the back. No wonder they won a sustainability award and the food is so tasty. I highly recommend. We'll be back. :) Thank you

My partner and I were in the area for a wedding and checked this restaurant online before we went. We were so pleased we went here. A very nice welcoming lady called Ann showed us to out table where we were presented with the menu. Not a huge menu but everything on it was tempting. We opted for spicey chicken wings and a delicious stuffed pasty Both had the wow factor Ann said that there would be a wait as everything was cooked from scratch Tbh it was worth the wait. Now for the main course I had the Lamb which had a £2 extra well worth it Beautifully cooked bursting with flavours My partner had the chicken which was equally succulent both totally different and both delicious. My girlfriend had a nice cold Pino Grigio While a cold lager for me. This restaurant was tastefully decorated with brilliant staff. This was a set menu which I would recommend without hesitation. If you're in the area please give it a try You won't regret it

A lovely restaurant. Pleasant staff, delicious meals with many gluten free options. Wonderful spice profiles in the curries. Authentic Nepalese food. Complimentary butterfly pea tea drink and amuse bouche are a lovely touch. We'll definitely dine here again.

My husband and I walked in for a late lunch and was seated right away. We were given these amazing butterfly pea lemonade sodas as welcome drinks, and those totally set the tone for the rest of the meal. We each got the 2-course lunch opting for the chicken wings and Sha Phaley as starters and the chicken and lamb curries for mains. The food was AMAZING... AMAZING!!! Complex flavors that make your tongue dance and stomach happily full! The service was phenomenal. We couldn't believe this hidden gem is tucked away outside of Glasgow. We highly recommend making a trip to Johnstone to dine here!
