Woodstone Pizza & Flamegrill Keswick

Took around 20 minutes for our pizzas to be ready on a weekday evening. Restaurant was relatively empty when we went with ample seating. Pizzas could be better (tasted like store bought frozen pizzas almost - might just be the ones we got though!). Friendly staff. Nice interior as well.

Sorry to say but well below our expectations after reading the previous 4.4 star reviews. We ordered a takeaway 12" Greek veggie pizza (£16.80). The pizza base lacked the airy crisp chewy texture of a well made pizza. The crust edge was unevenly browned with scorching on one side and pale on the other edge. Flavour was bland. Very disappointed.

Genuinely the best pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had. Staff accommodated 7 of us when I booked a table a week before. When we arrived they were friendly and efficient. Drinks came quickly and our order was taken in good time. After a short wait all our food arrived as ordered and was excellent. We will most definitely return!

We've been there with my family. The food was amazing. Kids really loved their pizza. We had a Margarita, a Hawaiian and a four cheese pizza (can't remember the name) and also a spinach pasta. All were delicious. Staffs were super friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed it. Food was nice. The pasta could have had more of a cheesy flavor. My brother's pizza and sisters Bolognese was spot on. Highly recommend. Service could have even a bit warmer when we walked in but overall it was really good.

We came because of all the reviews saying the gluten free pizza was so good. Sorry, those reviewers clearly have very low expectations. This was a very basic pizza base - very doughy and quite small. You'd get better buying a good supermarket option. The lamb kebab tasted great and had a very good baked potato but was poorly presented with the lamb chunks not on a skewer - just strewn across the plate. All in all, a disappointment.

We booked online several weeks before we came to the Lake District as we know this is a very popular eatery. When we arrived, our table was ready for us and the server came to take our order for drinks and food after only a couple of minutes which is very good. However, she start the kitchen did manage to lose our order so we had a little bit longer to wait which rusted matter as we were having a great chat at the time. The food that did come was excellent. The pizzas were flavoursome beautifully cooked and very hot. The spaghetti Bolognese was sublime. They had a choice of chunky chips or fries both of which were lovely. We were offered a significant discount because of the extra wait we had, but we gave this as a tip to the waitress because she clearly was upset she he made the mistake and the whole team pull together to get our meal out quickly. Now the summer season is out of the way. I’m sure they’ll be more tables available earlier, but there’s usually tables available later on after 8:30 pm Will definitely go back for more pizzas and book early is my advice.

The best pizza we’ve ever had at a very reasonable price. The staff were chatty and friendly, the atmosphere in the restaurant was great and the food was delicious. We visited on a Thursday evening mid July and were able to get a table without making a reservation. We had the veggie and bbq 9” pizzas, garlic bread and onion rings, plus drinks and there was more than enough for 2. We would 100% recommend dining here and will return on our next visit to Keswick.
