Capital House Restaurant & Takeaway

Had a wee day out to Lanark and this restaurant was recommended for lunch What a fantastic meal we both had the mini spring rolls then I had the chicken curry and fried rice partner had chicken balls and curry sauce followed with a banana fritters all for the cheap price of £11.50 for 2 courses and £12.50 for the 3 courses if you're hungry and want a decent bite to eat then go here the food is amazing as well as inexpensive

We stay at New Lanark quite often. This time tho we could only book B+B so decided to 'eat out'. We fancied Chinese food so went along to the Capital House. Both of us really enjoyed our food. Must say, it was absolutely delicious. The service was fast & efficient too. Where it greatly disappointed was it completely lacked any atmosphere or ambience. It's usually a treat for us to eat out, but to be honest, it felt more just like a takeaway with waiting tables & chairs, rather than a nice restaurant. Definetely wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion or romantic meal for two! The lights were full on bright, no music playing, and a group of young people (incl a baby) yapping noisily & constantly all around us. These younger people were either servers, desk staff or just eat/delivery guys. It all seemed VERY unprofessional. They were just lounging about at other restaurant tables/chairs talking. We'll never return for a 'sit in' meal again, but would certainly use for 'carry out. Felt a bit cheated being charged 'dine in' prices tho! Compliments to the chef. You are THE only reason we'd ever return here.

Have eaten both take out & in the restaurant. Food is fab! Takeaway always arrives piping hot & tastes amazing. The restaurant is nice too, usual Chinese restaurant atmosphere. Staff nice. We have tried other Chinese places in Lanark & this is our favourite by far!

Best chinese in lanark you will not be disappointed

The food is by far the best Chinese in Lanark. They have just renovated the seating area. I've not been into this part yet. Mostly takeaway but prior to renovations would go in for a business lunch. Service is quick, and food is always really hot. Staff are friendly.

Always great food from Capital House. Easily the best Chinese takeaway in Lanark and there are a few. Food is always plentiful and hot. There is the option to sit in for a meal if you prefer but I have never tried that. Surroundings have recently been refurbished and it's looking pretty good. Capital House - recommended 👍🏻

Probably the best Chinese food served in Lanark but I will not be using again, as I don't agree with them just charging you for a bag and not giving the option to use your own if they are just going to put it in a bag without asking you for one then they should absorb the cost of it. And they need someone on the till who actually knows the menu

This restaurant need to either answer their phone or change their opening times on the website. Never open when online says it is. Other than that the food is great
