Ebi's Takeaway Lanark

My wife and I (locals) Have been going to Ebi's Restaurant for the past 10 years and always met with a kind and considerate service. Their menu has a formidable selection of dishes to suit ones palette, made and prepared by professional and experienced kitchen staff. Pricing is mild to moderate depending on what selection is made and presented in a professional manner. Next door, is Ebi's Fish & Chip shop, also where the locals frequent for a quick take away, a large selection of take away's, whether it be for a quick meal before taking a train trip into Glasgow or just plain 'ol sit at home waiting for the football on telly! RIDICULOUSLY BAD! Was sceptical about ordering from here due to all the exceptionally bad reviews but decided how wrong could they get a baked potato How wrong was i? Not only did i wait one hour for a baked potato - and im only a 5 minute drive away - but once it arrived it was completely solid inside - entirely undercooked! At 8.30pm at night i had no option but to attempt to cook it myself. It also arrived freezing cold. Honestly dont waste your time or money this place is beyond a joke!

My fish from the takeaway was perfectly cooked, with a soft almost creamy and flaky texture in a lovely batter. The fritters were enjoyable too. The prices were as good value as you get in most chippies and more so for the high quality. The staff were friendly and pleasant. Though I hadn't used the restaurant I had a look in and it was tiny but immaculate and very cozy. Looks great for a family occasion where you could easily have the place to yourself with a smiling, polite waitress on hand. 😎👍

There was nothing classic about the classic pawn cocktail, watery prawns. I ordered the mushroom risotto. The rice was overcooked , not seasoned .it was a rice pudding with mushrooms. The chef must must be uninspired to be serving food like this .

This restaurant has received what looks like vindictive reviews. Two giant pieces of haddock and wonderful salad for lunch. Service was excellent.

Everything is fine except chips can be greasy and a fish supper which says two fish is actually one fish cut in half

Stopped for lunch. Very quiet. Best thing was the lovely wee girl serving.. ordered sandwiches. Cheap bland bread which spoils any filling. If your charging almost £8 for a prawn 🥪 upgrade your bread!

rotten chippy. I've no idea what the fish is but it's not haddock or cod. dry and tastes unpleasant, couldn't actually finish it. batter is also like soggy leather
