We came for quilt retreat last week. I can honestly say, the staff, the food and the service were outstanding. Nothing was too much bother. The spa was excellent, had a foot and hand massage. Beautifully located. Rooms were very clean, well serviced. I had view of the river.

The hotel is totally unique and lovely in a stunning location. The facilities are great especially the pool and spa. Had a fantastic massage from Sheila who I highly recommend! The staff in the hotel were all friendly and helpful. This is my second stay at the hotel and the food this time round was disappointing. I would describe it at best as adequate which was a shame as the food had been very good on our last visit. Breakfast was better in the restaurant than what we received for room service. The hotel is in such an amazing location and other than the slightly disappointment with our food everything else was superb about the hotel.

A really good hotel with welcoming staff in all areas. Meals are first class. Lots to see and do within the complex, local history, walks up the riverside to the waterfall. Have been a couple times and will definitely be back.

We booked our wedding reception at New Lanark (would be a fantastic venue for services as well) and the staff helped give us an amazing day celebrating with family and friends. Rachel the organiser was incredibly helpful in the run up and on the day and the contacts the hotel holds are very useful. A range of packages are available offering value for money. The catering on the day was superb, having been a guest at weddings where the challenge of putting so many meals out on a timescale means they can be lacklustre this was noticeable. Majority of our guests stayed in the hotel or the water cottages and thoroughly enjoyed it. The facilities and surrounding nature trails meant it was a great venue for a short stay and many took advantage of that. Several mentioned how very helpful the staff were. I'd thoroughly recommend New Lanark hotel. Thanks for helping us make such happy memories.

We were so looking forward to visiting this hotel as we love New Lanark. The staff were lovely and the food in the restaurant was very nice but our main reason for staying was to make use of the spa facilities. Unfortunately, the swimming pool and jacuzzi were both very cold. My wife spoke to a member of staff who checked the temperature and confirmed it was several degrees less than it should've been. He increased the temperature a little but we couldn't handle how cold the water is, not could the 3 ladies using the facilities at the same time. Needless to say we were gutted and wouldn't return.

We took advantage of a Dinner Bed & Breakfast offer and stayed one night. Our room was spacious, well decorated and the bed comfortable. |Guests get free use of the swimming pool which also has a jacuzzi area plus a steam room and sauna. The spa area is dimly lit to give it a more relaxing atmosphere. |Dinner was a bit slow to arrive but it was very well presented and cooked albeit the main course was a tad over seasoned for our taste and we would have preferred our vegetables softer. |There was a good selection of breakfast options and we enjoyed this meal too. |We didn’t use the bar but it looked nice. |A tour around the heritage site costs extra but you get a discount if you are a hotel guest.

I stayed as I wanted to get some late evening and dawn photos of the river, clearly the hotel also does a lot of business with wedding and corporate conferences. Prices do reduce outside of the summer wedding period but I couldn't find any aailability at the £79 'offer' price between October and March mentioned on their website.||Ask for a room facing the river, I spoke to guests whose room overlooked the carpark and they were kept awake by a car alarm repeatedly going off. Room size is good and has everything you'd expect for a hotel of this class. Everything seemed very clean in the room and in the bathroom. I did note that the bedroom windows were single glazed, now doubt due to retain the character of the mill but heavy curtains kept out the cold.||I did think that the room and corriders were a bit bland for being in the old mill, I didn't expect a spinning jenny in the room but maybe there wasn't many of the original fittings left. The room had barrel vaulted ceiling but that was about it.||There a small bar which also does bar meals if you're not eating the main restaurant. This was quite full, however there was plenty of seating the large reception area and the beer seemed well kept.||Breakfast was nice, howeer there was a hiccup for the dinner. I was 'steered' towards the roast pork which had obvioulsy been left over from the Sunday lunch, however it was fine. The cheese dessert didn't land so well, the grapes being frozen solid - I assume from being in the freezer. Wine choices are solid and not outrageously priced for a hotel.||Serving staff were friendly, indeed everyone working in the hotel were pleasant. As a hotel guest you can get around the museum from 9am before the crowds.

Had a wee overnight with my mum B&B and we had dinner in hotel too. Our room was cold when we arrived and one of the staff Scott helped us to work out the radiator which was great. We enjoyed a walk along the water which was lovely. On our return Scott left us a spare heater in the room for if we needed it. Service from all staff was amazing from reception, bar, restaurant, spa and housekeeping. Will definitely be back
