The Crown Tavern

Had a fantastic meal this lunchtime while visiting my sister from New Zealand. Quality of the steaks was excellent. Great service too. Sadly was so full from main that we couldn't try the dessert menu😔 Would highly recommend this pub

Delicious food! Husband tried the Highlander chicken with haggis for the first time and thought it was amazing. My mince and mushroom pie was also delicious. Good portions. Friendly staff, food arrived quickly and we were sat in a nice quiet area of the restaurant. Would have no hesitation in going again or recommending to others.

Entry through the pub. Linen table covers a surprise. SERVICE attentive food excellent, scampi the real thing,not reformed stuff. Prices good ,I have paid more for same quality elsewhere. Worth a visit, book first.

Really good quality food and service. Nice authentic pub atmosphere downstairs, or if you prefer, more of a restaurant upstairs. Good selection of drinks and all is reasonably priced. I had the haggis, tatties and neeps, very tasty and a decent sized portion too. Would definitely recommend the Crown Tavern.

Popped in for a late lunch on a Friday. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside with the dog, though I'm assured they are very dog friendly inside too. As soon as staff saw the dog they brought a water bowl without being asked (top service for the dog). Food was lovely and atmosphere very welcoming. Prices were very reasonable and portions generous. We'll definitely be back.

As a visitor from Canada 🇨🇦 50 years since we have been in Lanark. We booked last night and were not surprised what a great variety on the menu. Even better food in our view was excellent. Steak and Sausage Pie and great dunking gravy, side of French fries and veg. Breaded haddock fries and salad. Following sticky toffee pudding with custard as u may say it was braw. Oh yes we had drinks. Very friendly staff never rushed price wise excellent value. Thank and don’t forget to reserve. Slainthe.

First time in the crown, heard a lot of good things but very disappointed, ordered steak and sausage pie with chips, they gave me mashed potatoes instead of the chips and ohh my they were very salty and lumpy. Eventually they brought the chips a mix up with orders, the steak in the pie was dry in the inside so overall not a good experience. Then to top it all off a dog comes wandering round the whilst people are trying to eat food.

Great night in the Crown. Went for a 50th party for my good friend John. Thoroughly enjoyed a 3 course meal. Food was excellent. The staff were super friendly. Brilliant atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone.
