Crown Hotel

We stayed here in June & had a lovely relaxing stay. Our room was beautiful and newly refurbished & the attention to detail was fantastic, beautiful wallpaper. ||The bar was lively with a great atmosphere, & when they heard us taking about the Common Riding board the locals and Sam explained what it was. Sam introduced us to Cornet Patterson who was very kind and gave us a great saying better felt then telt. We're hoping to visit one year if a room becomes available||Whilst the kitchen was undergoing a refit we we're offered a grab and go breakfast if we required which was a lovely idea. On this occasion we were leaving far too early to want breakfast and hence why we'd booked room only.

We went as a group of motorcyclists, the best way to rate this hotel is it gives faulty towers a run for its money.||Although breakfast orders where taken the night before the food took ages to serve and parts of it were cold.||The evening meals on the first night where cold.

After 50 years in hospitality management, this is the worst hotel I have ever experienced. From arrival to check out, there was not any positives to speak of, in fact I felt it was a major embarrassment to our industry, I will not go into detail, as I know there are many challenges in our industry, but unfortunately I could not recommend this hotel whatsoever.

Such a lovely place, if you want to stay were the guest is central to what they do then this is the hotel. We stayed on our way up to the highlands and the greeting was warm and friendly. Our room was lovely and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We arrived just as the kitchen was closing which wasn't an issue we shared the Crown Chicken Feast with a few sides and it was plenty and the beer was cold and refreshing. We mentioned we needed to leave around 05:00 so not to worry about breakfast, instead a grab and go breakfast was brought to us which was a really nice touch. ||Thanks guys, we will stay again in a heartbeat,

Hey guys,||We've added our review to here & Google.||I've recently returned from a relaxing weekend at the Crown or the Croon as it is affectionately known. We arrived late on to a lively bar & a great buzz. We were shown our room, warm & cosy room 2 I believe. We were heading out for a show & mentioned we might be late back. The door fob was explained to us so we could get back in. We slept well, the shower was warm, the late checkout for £15 was fantastic as we had a lay in until just gone noon. Time with for a quick drink before we left (yes as the designated drivers it was a 0.0%). They have a good range in.|We'll be back guys. Thank you

Most friendly hotel that love dogs. We (me & the dog) arrived on July 19th after a wet walk. The bar was warm and friendly and check in was a breeze, the pre check in email was fantastic as I knew it was Sam on the bar. ||She showed me & Ben dog to our room (2) lovely & clean and we both loved the doggy welcome pack and bed. I had dinner which was lovely ham, eggs & chips a pub classic and B dog had ham, pupcup and attention (which B dog is always hungry for). ||After a drink I headed to bed where B dog & I slept like logs. We didn't book breakfast as we weren't sure what time we were going to leave the following morning as we had a long drive ahead of us. Sam did offer me a grab & go breakfast which is fab idea but I declined . ||Ben dog and I will be back on our travels .

Crown Hotel|||||Fantastic place, me & the better half stayed here a few days ago and had the best time. It started before we arrived with a quick email letting us know how check in worker and who would be welcoming us. We arrived on a Monday night and the place was buzzing with what we learnt was Monday club.||Ben showed us to room 8 which was lovely and clean with plenty of tea & coffee. He explained the key fob just in case we popped out and didn't get back before the bar closed.||After a refresh we headed down you the bar and ordered amazing food my wife had a pizza & I had the Crown Chicken Feast wowsers that was finger lickin chickin. The Guinness is the best this side of Dublin.||The locals were friendly and Sam popped in to have a crack with them with a cheeky wink to Ben as she left saying I'm going now I've got them going again lol.||We slept like logs that night so peaceful, had a hot shower and headed for breakfast it was nice to get a choice with everything from Pancakes to a full cooked. We opted for bacon rolls and they were just what the Dr ordered.||We would highly recommend Crown Hotel to anyone .

We ended up making a short notice booking for 3 families for dinner and they were fantastic. The food was delicious, home made, large portions and excellent value. They were also so friendly even introducing us to the family dog because we had dog obsessed small children lol. Given a chance we will definitely visit again. Thank you for a fab evening.
