Original Tapas Sabores Southfields

In what was served as shakshuka: two eggs precariously perched atop a lackluster tomato sauce that bore the unmistakable mark of being plucked straight from a can. A rather unorthodox dollop of mayonnaise added an unwelcome twist to the dish. Regrettably, the remainder of the order mirrored this uninspired quality, leaving much to be desired. Avoid this place at all cost.

Came here after reading the reviews and being a bit hungry. The staff were friendly and nice. Food… well let’s just say it’s not fresh. Ham croquettes had no ham. Very greasy all over and even the potatoes tasted like grease. The veg were cold and filled with oil. Couldn’t finish them unfortunately. Really needs a new chef with fresh tapas to make it better. Also for the price I paid it was shocking.

After seeing all the positive reviews, I finally decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The food lacked flavour and freshness, with some dishes tasting like they were made using frozen seafood. The garlic prawn dish was particularly underwhelming as it lacked the essential garlic flavour and the prawns themselves were tasteless. Additionally, the squid ink paella failed to impress as it too was rather bland and tasteless.

Had a great evening here. Anuj was our waiter and made us feel special, was our anniversary and even brought out a cake with candles, unprompted. Food was great, along with drinks. Plus the back room staff were lovely. Couldn’t recommend enough.

We had a friend visiting from the US, and had an enjoyable and relaxing meal there on his first night here, choosing a varied selection of tapas. Friendly staff and great service, with views out to Southfields.

Authentic food, good service, great location and a very friendly owner! What more could a guest ask for! Fresh smoothies are a bonus and absolutely delicious. Thank you!
