The Jollof Rice seemed to be just a bag of microwave rice. It is absolutely not worth the money

Very poor customer service. I order soup from them and what came was way below half of the normal quantity. I couldn’t even finish half of the poundo. I called to complain and they ignored my call, later picked and started laughing on the phone after promising to send replacement which never came. Do not buy from them. Wish I can give 0 stars

It didn't look like much from the outside but looks are definitely deceiving! The food is absolutely glorious! I had beef with pounded yam and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It's a very friendly environment and definitely a family friendly feel. It was very quiet when we visited which was nice too. I would recommend trying the food here! It is so good!

Lovely meal - fresh hot swallow with soup. Lady was very friendly and the food came quickly and was well presented.

Horrible service and bunch of talkative women in the kitchen. omitted one of my order and when I called they offered no apologies but instead left me on the phone after asking me what I want them to do. Also sold me a horrible cooked meat as Suya and tasteless Moi moi. A waste of my £70, it was.

This place was the dirtiest place I ever eaten in! We came from London to Newcastle! As a Nigerian seeing the name being House of jollof I was glad to go eat here! But behold! The place is so dirty! Table was dirty! My partner hard to request for a wipe and spray to clean it up!I order a goat meat pepper soup ! But got served with liver part only! Don’t waste your money !

Please for your sanity and taste bud avoid this restaurant. I ordered Amala and ewedu and I am no kidding when I say this was the worst food I have ever eaten. The stew and ewedu was tasteless that I felt like throwing up immediately I tasted the food. The Amala wasn’t properly made too. Worst decision was to order through uber eats without checking for review comments. Avoid this restaurant if you can, trust me it’s not worth wasting £1. My advice to the restaurant, please stick to the food you know you can cook!!!! FYI amala and ewedu is not one of such Nigerian cuisine.

Our very first Nigerian Restaurant experience! (We went for the vegan options) 📍House of Jollof @ NE1 3BT (near Newcastle College) Just last week, my church in South Shields organised a cultural day, and I was able to feast on EXQUISITE Nigerian cuisine - Jollof rice blew me away. I loved how spicy it was. After that, I knew that we had to give a go to a Nigerian Restaurant. What a lovely experience it was, tasting the cuisine of a different culture. 🌾 Jollof Rice (Vegan. I wish it was spicier though 😅) 🫘 Egusi ( I had no idea about what I was ordering. I just ensured that it was vegan. This Egusi was tofu based, and boy, it was nice) 🍌 Fried Plantain An exquisite experience. I saw the next table having an array of Nigerian delicacies, and it looked like a cultural galore of food. I wonder what’s next to try in this menu 😃
