British dining at its best! Lovely food in a relaxed atmosphere

This is a hidden gem 💎. Good food at very reasonable prices. Lovely characterful building with a lovely atmosphere. It won't be to everyone's taste but we thoroughly enjoyed our evening, thank you.

This place is amazing. The food quality, presentation and the whole setting is so good, not to mention the low prices giving incredible value for money. Had the restaurant to ourselves for most of the evening and the staff were the perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing. Definitely going to come back for more.

Lovely venue. I’ve wanted to try this place for a while. There’s not many places you could describe as fine dining left in Nottingham. 20 years ago there was a multitude. Looking at the reviews and photos, I was very hopeful for this restaurant, and we did have a very pleasant meal. However, it seems clear that, as a result of the current fiscal climate, the restaurant has made certain economies. Portion sizes looked smaller than previous reviews, dishes were more simplistic in construction. No candles on tables. It’s notable that the restaurant hasn’t really increased its prices in the last couple of years, despite obvious increases in overheads. While it’s not surprising they have made certain economies, I personally, would rather have paid more to enjoy a more satisfying meal. It was nice, but I’m not sure I’d visit again.

Excellent food at such a great price! I'm a vegetarian and my husband is a meat lover, but we both were delighted by how delicious our selections were. We opted for the pre-theatre menu before a concert next door and they had great wines available to pair!

Restaurant was lovely inside but we were the only ones there , then another couple came in , I liked the food but my partner wasn't impressed! And he wasn't impressed by the loud music that was blasting from Stealth next door , I doubt we'll be returning.

This is a lovely little known gem in our city. Fabulous food cooked by the wonderful chef and such reasonable prices. Although the main entrance has steps, a ramp at the right of the building, leads down to a door into the basement, from where there is lift access. There is an accessible toilet, which although on the small side, this wheelchair user can manage.

We love this place! Such a cosy hidden gem with great service and delicious food.
