We tried here as we are looking for a new place since the Kooh-i-noor closed. It was well worth it, the food was fabulous and the staff were very nice. The portions were big, four of us shared three starters and my husband had the chicken tikka main meal. The three of us shared two mains. This was plenty and really tasty. I recommend this place and will be back

Popped in for first time to try the lunchtime menu. Lots to choose from. Thali plater £8.95. We had the 3 courses for £9.95. Great value, great food, efficient friendly service. I did like the tradional music playing. Place is nice, clean, and plenty.of space at the tables. Service was at just the correct pace. 5 stars from us and we will definitely be back.

We’ve eaten in here multiple times as a small family group and large family group and each and every time the food comes out at it’s best and in time with all meals being delivered together that we can all experience the food together. I’m a big lover of Asian cuisine and the cooking of BIR style food at home and this restaurant is one of my favourites to eat out at. They are a jewel in the paisley restaurant industry. **New Update** An update to my last review as a family of eight and someone who favoured this restaurant: Friday, 18th April 2025: As someone who enjoys Asian cuisine and previously gave a nearly 5-star review, we had an extremely poor experience tonight while dining at the Ashoka Paisley. I’m not sure if there has been a change in management or new ownership altogether, but tonight we experienced poor food quality, subpar service, and extremely elevated prices. For example, when asking for additional drinks at the table, we found ourselves having to ask numerous times before our order was fulfilled. Please note that there were only two tables in use, and we were one of those tables. They insisted on cash payment as settlement for our bill, and after we made the payment, they tried to keep the change from that payment without giving us the option to let them keep the overpayment. That seemed to be the last straw of the evening. This lack of professionalism left a sour taste and overshadowed any potential enjoyment, both past and present. Regrettably, this restaurant does not deserve the positive review I left previously.

Had a great meal with the best service I have ever had. Staff gave great recommendations and were attentive to my needs. Spoiled for choice with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Will definitely be back.

Loved the food at Punjab Times in Paisley! The butter chicken and biryani were full of flavor, and the naan was fresh and soft. Great portions and friendly service. The place had a relaxed vibe—perfect for a casual meal. Definitely going back. Highly recommend for tasty Indian food.

Decided to try and got set meal for 2, poppadums and spiced onions, nan bread (buttery and delicious), rice south indian lamb absolutely melted in the mouth, and a chicken korma lovely and creamy , a good few tables occupied when I went to collect. Could have used Just eat for delivery but I chose to collect. Food superb, great value for money and staff polite and courteous will definitely be back 😁

Visited the Punjab Tiimes Indian restaurant opening day today and so glad we did . The restaurant is modern , bright and airy with plenty of natural light flooding in from the large windows . Toilets were nice and clean , always a good sign ! Tried a mixed biryani for the first time today and what a surprise . The food was perfectly cooked and large portions served . Compliments to the chef . My friend also had a biryani ( his favourite dish) and commented it was the best he had ever tasted. Would not hesitate to recommend the Punjab Tiimes to friends and family for great food , great service and a decent price . Give them a try , you will not be disappointed . We ll be back soon

Had a lovely lunch at Ashoka paisley today the food was absolutely delicious and we are very fussy customers. We were served by Akshay he was so friendly and polite and great service we will definitely be back.
