Jailhouse Café

Went this morning and really didn’t enjoy our experience, had to send 2 breakfasts back because the order was incorrect. The wrap was extremely stale and I couldn’t even eat it and the 2 pieces of bacon were 80% fat (as can be seen on the attached image) I had one mouthful and had to leave the rest. All of the food was very cheap freezer food and quite tasteless. I appreciate the cafes mission and what it’s trying to achieve and think it’s a great cause but I wouldn’t ever visit again or recommend. Really disappointed because we were all excited to try it out.

Food was amazing! I had chips with cheese and beans! The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely sea views!

Had a lovely ploughmans lunch and vegetarian breakfast here today. Good value for money. Nice people there. Ate here again today. Fush and chips, beautifully cooked. So nice to eat outside in this fabulous weather.

This is a fantastic cafe. It’s really good to come here to support such a good cause, a cause I fully support, but then I was surprised with how nice the coffee, cakes and atmosphere was. The people working here were kind, friendly and did a great job serving. The views also are brilliant! Will have to come back in the summer.

Value for money. Had a Verne breakfast (medium size) Which was really good for £8-50. Coffee tasted nice unlike all those takeaway places... And out in the garden are fantastic views of the Dorset coast.

Really impressed. Great value for money. Good honest food, some great gift bits too. Food was quick, hot and tasty. Can't ask more than that (and the views were beautiful).

On a camping holiday in weymouth with my children i was looking for somewhere for breakfast, I remembered from a past trip I had heard about the jailhouse cafe so figured we would give it a go, it was a wet and windy day and the kids were unsure on the long winding road up towards the prison and through the gate, we were the 1st customers through the door and were greeted with a friendly hello and smile. We ordered breakfast and were delighted by the quality of food for the price, good wholesome full English breakfasts that did not disappoint, service was quick too. Then the cafe was suddenly flooded with customers, obviously a popular choice. We will definitely be returning, next time for lunch 😉
