A little not so hidden gem that you'll miss if you blink too long! I always forget it's here and am always surprised that it's open til 6. Delicious cake, the savoury food is authentic and you can just have a snack if you're not so hungry but need a place to just stop by. Plenty of seats. I liked the coffee and they've loads of Portuguese groceries, and I did stop in here once just to buy Guarana Antártica from Brazil, dont think I've found it in any other shops here...? And the staff are always warm and friendly.

Portuguese lunch at Sabores da Terra. Spotted this new cafe/delicatessen which appears to be the one from Purley but more spacious. The seafood spaghetti in the cabinet looked good so had that with tea for a tenner. Also got to try some black eye peas with tuna on the side. The clams etc was generous. The bean salad was interesting, it was just the black eye peas, crisp diced onions and fresh parsley. Simple but tasty from the onions and parsley. Glad I checked it out.

We tried their bica (a classic espresso), and it had a rich, bold taste typical of Portuguese coffee, with just the right amount of bitterness, really impressed by the strong flavour and unique taste. Very good pastries and cakes. We highly recommend this spot, cozy ambience and friendly service made the experience even better.
