Highly recommend for every element. Excellent food, amazing hygiene and super efficient with orders. We have 6+ similar restaurants the same or closer distance but Royal Oak is the one.

I was staying across the road and thought I’d give this a try. Really nice food and if decent standard for a Fish & Chip shop. The server was very friendly and were receiving a lot of telephone orders whilst we waiting so must be popular in the area!

It was my first time trying scampi and calamari and I'm so glad I came here for it. The food was delicious and service was fantastic. Employees were very welcoming and professional. The seating area is really homely. Great place to stop at after a long drive. Highly recommend and I will definitely come back again.

The best fish and chips I’ve had in the South East and after a day’s mountain biking in Bedgebury Pinetum forest, perfect. The Prosecco was great too.

I stopped Monday 17th March. Was hoping for the pub to be honest, but well... Pretty impressed with the fish n chips. Had a middle of skate, chips, curry sauce and a Fanta. All cooked fresh to order. All good. Would recommend if ya either local or in the area. Oh, and good luck getting the pub going lads. Top job 👍

Bloody lovely fish and chips.... and pastys and mozzarella sticks and curry sauce. Interestingly enough the chips do not dry out straight away... I think that's because they par boil the chips. The curry sauce is so good! I think everyone knows it because every patron placing an order was first asking if there was any sauce left. Anyway... I'm stuffed.
