Been to Batanga several times now, with a variety of different groups (friends, girlfriend, parents) and all loved it! The food is delicious and there's a great selection of cocktails and drinks available. The venue is quirky and fun with an open kitchen and friendly staff. Definitely worth booking as I don't think you will be able to get in otherwise, but that's just how it goes. Can't wait for my next visit.

Honestly one of the best restaurants I've tried in York! Exquisite food and very kind and friendly staff. It's always a pleasure to be in a place where you can find both great food and a welcoming atmosphere. Delicious cocktails, what can I say, I will definitely come back!

Such a cute little Mexican place, we only came for drinks as the cocktails are £5! They’re all amazing and the service from Austin was amazing! We’ll definitely come back for food it smells amazing!

Had the best time here a month ago with my best friend! The staff were amazing and played the best music for us and made sure we were looked after. The food was phenomenal definitely the best Mexican food I’ve been able to find in York! Great vegetarian options and very filling. The restaurant is very cozy with atmospheric decor. Would recommend this to anyone looking to fulfil their cravings for burritos and tacos, we devoured!

Lovely hidden gem in York town centre - found absolutely randomly the night before travelling to York, ended up there last Sunday to get some drinks and came back the following day for a lovely dinner. The cocktails were amazing and the food even better - we had the beef chilli nachos and the lamb birria stew - both massive portions and super-tasty! Prices really good too! We ended up paying around £30 for 2 x mains and 2 x drinks which is great value for money! Ended it all with a lovely shot of tequila! Definitely recommend and we'll definitely be back again!
