Was recommended this place by our guest House landlady. I had the ravioli, I also shared the beef Wellington. The beef was the best ive tasted for a long time. The Ravioli and vegetables for excellent as well. From what I hear this restaurant is fully booked on Fridays and Saturdays so I suggest you book well in advance, it's a bit expensive but the food is worth it.

Had a brilliant experience at the Feather and Beak. We called earlier in the day to ask if we might sit outside as the courtyard area is so lovely and the sun was shining. We sat there for pre meal drinks until the sun dropped then moved into the conservatory which was a different experience again! Excellent service from the staff and Management - And to top it all the food (I had pressed lamb) was the best I think I’ve ever had!! I have been before & will definitely come again. Full marks!!

What an unexpected special gem of a place! Warm friendly welcome, great menu choices and amazing food - the photos really don’t do it justice. Found by a little internet research and we liked it so much that we are coming back next month!

Four of us went for dinner this evening. We didn't order a starter preferring a dessert. Three of us had Beef Wellington instead we got a flaky pastry pie with a piece of beef inside. The result was an overwhelming quantity of pastry. The potatoes were supposed to be Fondant potatoes but they were solid inside as opposed to the fluffy consistency required. The accompanying vegetables were seriously over salted Kale and a single stick of carrot per person. At £34.50 per portion it was a disgrace. My wife complained about her beef to the waitress but no one came to either apologise or discuss it. The net result was when we are asked if we would like the dessert menu we all declined this preferring to get the bill and leave. How it has a 4.9 rating is beyond belief particularly as we have been out eating excellent food around the area for two weeks.

Great restaurant. Top quality food and wines served in a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is in an old farm building, overlooking fields. Menu when we were there included beef wellington, salmon en croute and lamb and apricot korma pie. Nice wine list and a selection of bottled beers. Easy and safe 15 minutes walk from the centre of Kirkbymoorside, all on a pavement. Overall, highly recommend.

We had reserved a table for May 28th at this lovely little restaurant. First of all, we were very well received, even though we spoke very little English. The dining room is perfect and very quiet. The food was really good and beautifully presented. For our two-week road trip, this was our favorite restaurant! Thank you very much, Serge

Absolutely beautiful food in a lovely setting. My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary last Friday. We don’t eat meat so were keen to try the fish options. We were delighted with the beautiful food that we were served. For starter, I had the day boat squid and my husband had the scallops. We both had the Scarborough hake for main which was served with a delicious selection of side vegetables. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful evening at the Feather and Beak, from the welcome when we arrived, pre meal drinks and then taken into the cosy restaurant. I simply can’t describe how brilliant the food was, worth every penny. Well done to all.
